Vintage Packaging – Soda Pop

A nice collection of vintage soda pop packaging. It would be nice to see some of these brands look to their past when producing their current packaging.

‘7up – You Like It, It Likes You’.

That would make me feel a little weird about drinking it, I think. Love the old glass bottle designs. So much more personality than a can.

When I went to SE Asia recently, they almost always served Coke and other soft drinks in the old glass bottles, which were collected regularly and taken back to the plant to be refilled. Some of them had been used so much that they were almost frosted on the edges from all the bumps and scrapes, and the logos were scratched and discoloured. ‘Distressed’ coke bottles look quite nice!

Never knew Sprite had such a history OR that it was Tart and Tingling. Classic! In more ways than one.

Obviously Pepsi did just so with the typography. Too bad they did it all wrong
